Could you try updating those (they are out of date):

Update Joomla 4.4.8 -> 4.4.9
https://downloads.joomla.org/cms/joomla4

Update VirtueMart 4.2.12 -> 4.2.18
https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/virtuemart/

Your site should be alerting you to both these updates being available.

I have updated Joomla and Virtuemart but i still have the problem. The orders don't go to the cart it stays on pending and don't move. We have customed code in the website. We suspect that the problem come from the update that has changed something in the database.
